An
exhibition of 15 artists from 13 countries has opened in the
Gallery Hopeinen Sivellin on 28 of January and continue through to 17 of
February 2009. Most of the artists are members of the
international art union Artist Universal, which was founded in 2006 by the
group of international artists and has been since then managed by an artist
from Helsinki Elena Ringo.
Initial idea was to create an independent art union, which would not be limited
by location or medium. It is supposed to be a truly universal association open
to artists from all parts of our planet,
no matter in which style they work. First exposition of The Artist Universal
Artist Union features the paintings, photography and pieces of
decorative style., such as amazing carpet by Brenda Oelbaum, featuring Bush and
Cheney.
It is organized by the association Artist Universal in collaboration
with the Gallery Hopeinen Sivellin, Helsinki, Finland. Viktor Markelov, the
gallerist says: ''Art Gallery Hopeinen Sivellin
is very pleased to be working in partnership with the International art Union
Artist Universal and its manager Elena Ringo to create this
fascinating and revealing exhibition. We offer people across Finland and
beyond a valuable insight into the past, present and future of our Universal
culture.''
Most of the participants are artists well-known in their countries.
They have rich experience of art exhibitions, some are professors in
prestigious universities. They work in different manners and styles. The idea
of the exposition is not to show the exhibits close by subject and execution,
but to offer diversity in the full extend.
